Dinner and Tango Performance

The trip has been amazing so far, however, the tango lessons, the fancy dinner and the astonishing tango performance were the highlight of our Argentina trip. The Argentinian cuisine primarily consists of beef, thus, the handful of us who are either vegetarians or don’t eat beef hadn’t really enjoyed the food during group dinners so far. However, being one of those non-beef eaters, I can personally say that Tango Porteño presented us with convenient varieties and the best food so far. Fancy place and fancy food! All the meals were presented so elegantly and it could be seen that a lot of attention was paid on the details while plating; moreover, the wine that accompanied the food made it the perfect setting for us to experience an extravagant dinner. All the tables had the glasses clinging and the students hogging.

As a person who loves to dance, for me, the tango moves were just so compelling. The dance moves, the gracefulness and the flexibility, everything seemed on point. The show began with the musicians singing with their lovely voices. They were able to set the mood and compliment the dance moves as the act went on. We also watched the singers multitask as they danced along with singing and thus, putting on a great show for us. It's always hard to sing and dance together but they were able to do so effortlessly. During the tango lessons, we could see the passion in the dancers as they taught us, and the same burning passion was witnessed during the show. The magnitude of passion, effort and dedication together was tremendous and this could clearly be seen in the dance where the girl was blindfolded. All the turns, the moves, the jumps were so perfect and natural that it seemed as if the girl wasn’t blindfolded at all. It was the perfect way to end our Argentinian journey with a bang!

I would recommend the whole Tango Porteño package; the tango lessons, the food and the performance as a must visit, as it is an excellent way to experience the rich creative Argentinian culture.
